Job summary

Quail Run Hospital in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Staff Nurse (RN) to coordinate and evaluate patient care within a multidisciplinary team. This role emphasizes accurate assessment, documentation, medication administration, and maintaining a therapeutic environment across adolescent, adult and senior units.

The ideal candidate holds an Arizona nursing license (or compact privileges), with preference for inpatient psychiatric experience and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice nursing in Arizona or compact privileges (out of state compact license: must apply for an AZ license within 60 days of hire).
• New grads welcome to apply. One year of experience in a psychiatric inpatient setting preferred; geriatric med/surg experience preferred.
• Handle With Care and Basic Life Support (BLS) for Providers required. Training provided at the facility.
• Level 1 Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess and document patient information and nursing care; reassess significant changes per policy; report signs of infection to Infection Control Nurse; verify records.
• Maintain therapeutic milieu; orient patients to the program; coordinate nursing care during episodes of care with the health care team.
• Administer medications using the 7 rights; transcribe and carry out physician orders; respond to psychiatric and medical emergencies with appropriate interventions.
