Job summary

Quail Run Behavioral Health in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking a Staff Nurse (RN) to provide direct patient care in an acute inpatient setting across adolescent, adult, and geriatric units.

You will document nursing assessments, coordinate care, administer medications using the seven rights, and collaborate with the health team to maintain a therapeutic environment.

New grads welcome; current AZ license or compact; BLS for Providers; Level 1 fingerprint clearance required within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice nursing in Arizona or compact privileges.
• New grads welcome; one year of psychiatric inpatient experience preferred; one year of med/surg experience preferred for geriatric unit.
• Handle With Care and Basic Life Support (BLS) for Providers required.
• Level 1 Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Document patient information and nursing care; reassess changes in patient condition per facility policy; report signs of infection to Infection Control.
• Orient patients to the program; monitor activity; coordinate nursing care to maintain a therapeutic environment in collaboration with health care providers.
• Administer medications using the 7 rights; transcribe and carry out physician orders; respond to psychiatric and medical emergencies.
