Job summary

HCA Healthcare Summerville Hospital seeks an Inpatient Post Surgical Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. You will collaborate with the care team and managers to influence patient outcomes and uphold nursing standards, acting as an advocate for patients and families.

Responsibilities include assessing patients, administering medications, documenting care, and educating families about treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma is required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
• Less than 1 year of applicable experience
• Currently licensed as an RN in the state of practice or has an active compact license
• Basic Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient’s condition on admission and each shift; report changes promptly
• Administer prescribed medications and document care in the medical record
• Provide attentive care by promptly addressing patient requests and needs
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment plan, medications, side effects, and follow-up steps
