Job summary

HCA Healthcare Summerville Hospital is seeking an Emergency Room Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

In collaboration with physicians and the care team, you will perform assessments, administer treatments, document care, educate patients and families, and advocate for patients throughout the shift. We value teamwork and professional development with opportunities through hospital councils and nursing initiatives.

Qualifications

• RN license in the state(s) of practice.
• Less than 1 year applicable experience.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly and promote effective pain management.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered and document care.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about condition, plan, medications and follow-up.
• Prepare patients and families for future self-management and healthy lifestyle changes.
