Job summary

The Harrisburg University of Science and Technology invites applications for a full-time core faculty position in the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program. The role centers on teaching inpatient physical therapy with emphasis in cardiovascular/pulmonary or neurologic PT, and includes curriculum development under the DPT Program Lead.

Primary responsibilities cover course development, student mentoring, and active participation in CAPTE accreditation activities, with hybrid online/in-person

Qualifications

• Earned Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from a CAPTE-accredited program; ABPTS certification preferred.
• Active, unrestricted Pennsylvania PT license, or eligibility to obtain licensure before teaching.
• Minimum of three years of full-time post-licensure clinical experience, with inpatient PT.
• Experience teaching or curriculum development in PT education.

Responsibilities

• Teach inpatient and acute care physical therapy content; contribute to curriculum across the DPT program.
• Develop, deliver, and refine course content with emphasis on contemporary evidence-based practice.
• Mentor and coach students; participate in CAPTE accreditation activities and program evaluation.
• Collaborate in a hybrid online/in-person teaching model and coordinate with clinical partners.
• Support program development, accreditation documentation, and faculty service activities.
