Job summary

Texas Health Rockwall is hiring a Physical Therapist to join the Physical Therapy Department. The role supports inpatient/acute care with flexible scheduling, full-time 32 hours weekly, and opportunities to collaborate with a strong hospital leadership team.

You will assess patients, set measurable goals, obtain physician orders, and communicate with the care team while upholding professional accountability.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Physical Therapy program with a Bachelor's degree is required.
• 2 years of inpatient/acute care experience is strongly preferred.
• Texas Physical Therapy License is required upon hire.
• BCLS certification required prior to independent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform age-appropriate patient assessments and establish plans of care.
• Obtain and verify physician orders for therapy and ensure appropriateness.
• Set measurable goals with time frames addressing identified problems.
• Perform age-appropriate patient treatments.
• Communicate with physicians and other health care staff about patient care.
• Demonstrate professional accountability and age-appropriate care.
