Job summary

Texas Health Rockwall seeks a Physical Therapist to join the Physical Therapy Department. You will assess patients, set measurable goals, and coordinate with physicians and care teams to deliver safe, quality therapy in inpatient settings.

The role requires a PT degree, Texas license, and BCLS, with 2 years of inpatient/acute care experience preferred. This PRN position offers flexibility, competitive benefits, and opportunities for growth in a collaborative hospital environment.

Qualifications

• 2 years of inpatient/acute care experience strongly preferred.
• PT license for Texas upon hire and BCLS required.

• Sets measurable goals with time frames addressing patient and family goals.

Here’s What You Need

• Bachelor's Degree Completion of a Physical Therapy program is required
• 2 years of experience in inpatient/acute care is strongly preferred.
• PT - Physical Therapist Texas Physical Therapy License Upon Hire is required And
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly is required

What You Will Do

• Performs age appropriate patient assessment and establishes plan of care
• Obtains/verifies physician order for therapy and validates for appropriateness
• Sets appropriate, measurable, functional goals with time frames to address the identified problems including patient/family goals and preferences
• Performs age appropriate patient treatment
• Communicates with physicians and other healthcare personnel as appropriate regarding patient care issues
• Demonstrates competence in the performance of age appropriate patient treatment and individualizes care based on age specific needs
• Demonstrates Professional accountability
