Job summary

George Washington University Hospital seeks a Physical Therapist for the Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU). You will provide physical therapy services to patients in accordance with licensure and regulatory requirements, focusing on mobility and rehabilitation.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to support functional recovery and discharge planning, contributing to high-quality care in a Level 1 Trauma Center setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy.
• DC license required before start of employment.
• Master’s degree in physical therapy preferred.
• Experience in inpatient rehabilitation setting required.
• Current Basic Life Support certification (AHA or Red Cross).

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services per licensure and regulatory requirements.
• Act as mobility and rehabilitation expert for functional recovery and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
