Responsibilities

• Safety: handle hazardous waste, manage difficult patients, ensure safety record keeping.
• Technical: identify patients, label specimens, perform venipuncture/capillary punctures, ensure specimen integrity.
• Work Relationship: communicate effectively with nurses and physicians, maintain professional interactions.
• Information Technology: use basic computer apps, e-mail, test ordering, and CLM beepers/devicesSafely.
• Clerical: obtain signatures, complete forms for compliance, manage reports and inventory.
• Additional duties: use Sunquest and CLM systems, prioritize orders and manage high-volume workflow.
