The University of Iowa Health Care is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician II for the Inpatient Phlebotomy Team. The role focuses on phlebotomy, complex venipuncture, and training staff, with duties including data entry and supply distribution.

The position emphasizes patient care and teamwork on the University Campus. Evening/Nights, 100% effort, every other weekend and holiday, with a merit pay plan and comprehensive benefits.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification as Phlebotomy Technician from ACA/AMT/ASCP/NCA/NCCT or NHA.
• Six months of phlebotomy experience or completion of a phlebotomy training program.
• Basic computer skills and PPE experience.

Responsabilidades

• Performs phlebotomy draws and complex venipuncture as needed.
• Performs data entry and orders supplies; supports laboratory tasks.
• Instructs and trains others in phlebotomy techniques.
• Responds to phlebotomy inquiries and maintains policies and procedures.
