Job summary

Allina Health is seeking an entry-level Phlebotomy/EKG assistant to support inpatient workflows. You will perform blood draws, 12-lead ECGs, and data entry for patient records, while engaging with diverse teams to ensure quality patient care.

The role offers evening/night shifts, 8-hour shifts, and a 0.8 FTE schedule with every-other weekend rotation, contributing to hospital operations and safety.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience to meet required competencies.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 2 to 5 years experience in phlebotomy preferred.
• Phlebotomy Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Blood collection for laboratory analysis and 12 Lead Cardiograms for in-patients and select out-patients.
• Perform 12 lead EKG and specimen collection with timely data entry.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and report safety hazards.
• Adhere to infection control policies and communicate effectively with care teams.
