Job summary

Allina Health is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to join our fast-paced ED team in Minnesota. The role supports direct patient care under RN supervision, performing phlebotomy, EKGs, wound care, and basic equipment setup to ensure rapid, safe patient treatment.

The position is a 0.9 FTE, 8/12-hour day shift with every third weekend. Requires EMT/CNA/BLS or related credentials and strong teamwork in a high-stress environment. Competitive pay and union benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent for positions utilizing i-STAT testing

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care within scope of medical certification, including phlebotomy, EKG, wound preparation and education of durable medical equipment.
• Assist the RN with procedures, wound dressings, oxygen application and patient comfort.
• Support room turnover, stocking supplies and transport as needed.
• Participate in quality improvement activities.
