Job summary

METROHEALTH MEDICAL CENTER in Ohio is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist in the Pediatric, Critical Care, Oncology, and inpatient pharmacy services. Under supervision of a Pharmacist, you will help with medication preparation, distribution, and take-home services.

You will support quality control in drug distribution technologies and uphold the MetroHealth System's mission and patient care standards.

Qualifications

HS Diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam.
18 years of age or older with no felony convictions, per Ohio Revised Code 4729.42.
Meets one of the following: Current/active Certified Pharmacy Technician from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or obtains certification within 90 days of hire; maintains certification throughout the course of employment.
Meets one of the following: Currently registered as a Certified Pharmacy Technician with the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy; maintains active registration throughout the course of employment.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of a Pharmacist, performs a wide variety of duties in the delivery of pharmaceutical care in the specialty pharmacies (Pediatric, Critical Care, Oncology) and inpatient pharmacy.
Delivers medication related services to in-house patients, and the related take home medication services.
Assists Pharmacists in performing quality control procedures for drug distribution technologies.
Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
