Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through PTCB or NHA required.
• Active Ohio Board of Pharmacy registration as CPT/Registered CPT or Technician Trainee required; must update within 6 months if trainee.
• Completion of a formal pharmacy technician training program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter prescription information and prepare medications for pharmacist review.
• Maintain Pyxis medication dispensing systems and fill narcotic prescriptions.
• Conduct required medication counts and ensure accurate medication preparation.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and fellow technicians to ensure timely distribution to patient care areas.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through PTCB or NHA

Active OBOP registration as CPT/Registered Pharmacy Technician or Technician Trainee

Completion of a formal pharmacy technician training program
