Job summary

PSCFL seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support Pharmacists with order processing, preparation of general and specialty medications (Chemotherapy, TPN and Cardiac IV) and IV solutions for the inpatient pharmacy. Responsibilities include floor stock orders, inventory maintenance, phone support, and delivering medications to designated Nursing Units.

Minimum requirements include Florida registration, high school or equivalent education, and prior hospital pharmacy experience.

Qualifications

Florida pharmacy technician registration in good standing.
Graduate of an approved pharmacy certification course (preferred).
Three years hospital pharmacy technician experience (preferred).
Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
Experience with IV admixture and unit-dose preparation is preferred.

Responsibilities

Answer phones according to department standards with excellent customer service.
Prepare and deliver medications to Nursing Units in a timely manner.
Assist with stocking, cleaning, and organizing the storage area.
Prepare medications from stock and bulk supply for patient use.
Weigh, count, and label medications for pharmacist verification.
Respond to equipment alerts and maintain automated dispensing machines.
