Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Grand Blanc, Michigan, is seeking a Licensed Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in an inpatient hospital setting. You will be enrolled in a Pharmacy Technician Certification Program at hire, at no cost, and will contribute to preparing patient medications.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Licensed Pharmacy Technician or enrolled in a certification program in Michigan.
• Demonstrated exemplary customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, organizes and maintains work area.
• Fills containers, labels, prepackages medications, maintains records, stocks supplies.
• Prepares and labels IVs, chemotherapy agents, and other products.
• Responds to patient admissions, transfers, discharges, and processes physician orders.
• Assists with recordkeeping, billing and accounting functions.
• Assists in ordering, receiving, inspecting and adjusting stock.
• Maintains floor stock, crash carts and nursing station inspection reports.
• Performs other related duties as directed.
