Applicants should have a Michigan Pharmacy Technician license, a high school diploma or GED, and prior pharmacy experience preferred.

Formación

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Requires a Pharmacy Technician License from the State of Michigan.
• 6 months pharmacy experience preferred.
• Must be able to type approximately 25 words per minute.
• Must have the personality and ability to work with a wide variety of people under sometimes stressful situations.
• Motivated to provide high quality patient care.

Responsabilidades

• Picks up medication orders and delivers medications to patient care areas on a routine and emergency basis.
• Accurately interprets and enters medication orders into the pharmacy computer system.
• Determines quantities needed to fill prescriptions and prepares medications for dispensing.
• Aseptically compounds and labels intravenous solutions according to prescription formulas.
• Fills unit dose cassettes with appropriate medications.
• Generates reports and maintains accurate admission, discharge, and transfer information.
• Inventories and replenishes medication and supplies in dispensing areas.
