Job summary

McLaren Health Care is seeking a Licensed Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in an inpatient clinical hospital setting. You will prepare patient medications and will be enrolled in a Pharmacy Technician Certification Program at no cost to you upon hire.

The role offers a benefits package and retirement plan. Responsibilities include preparing, labeling and stocking medications, handling IVs and chemotherapy products, and coordinating with care teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Michigan Pharmacy Technician License or enrolled in a certification program.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, organize and maintain the work area.
• Fill containers, prepare and affix labels, prepackage pharmaceuticals, maintain records, and stock supplies under supervision.
• Prepare and label IVs, hyperalimentation solutions, chemotherapy agents, and other pharmaceutical products.
• Respond to patient admissions, transfers, discharges, and process physician orders.
• Assist with recordkeeping, billing and accounting functions.
• Assist in ordering, receiving, inspecting and adjusting stock.
• Maintain floor stock, crash carts and nursing station inspection reports.
• Perform other related duties as directed.
