Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Marymount Hospital in Garfield Heights is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice - Inpatient to join the Pharmacy-Marymount Hospital team. The 16-week accelerated apprenticeship provides hands-on training in inpatient and outpatient settings while earning a diploma in Pharmacy Technology.

You will prepare medications, manage inventory, learn with a dedicated team, and work 7:00am–3:30pm, Monday through Friday, with potential evenings.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.
Completion of the Cleveland Clinic School of Pharmacy Technology program within 12 months of hire.
Registration as Pharmacy Technician Trainee with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy at hire; Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) within 12 months.
Must obtain CPhT certification within 12 months.
Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

Prepare medications (selection, labeling, repackaging, non-sterile and sterile compounding).
Deliver medications to appropriate storage locations.
Maintain inventories of medications and supplies.
Maintain a safe, clean work area per procedures and regulations.
Document regulatory requirements (temperature logs, activities, training).
Attend and participate in team huddles and meetings.
Use information systems, technology and automation to complete tasks.
Maintain standing in the Cleveland Clinic School of Pharmacy Technology Program.
