Job summary

MercyOne Clinton Medical Center is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist Clinical Pharmacists with preparing and distributing medications and maintaining patient records under supervision. This part-time, PRN position supports the inpatient pharmacy team, serving patients from neonatal to geriatric.

It requires Iowa Board of Pharmacy registration, National Certification, accurate typing, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• National Pharmacy Technician Certification required.
• Registered with the State of Iowa Board of Pharmacy before commencing employment.
• One to three years of pharmacy experience preferred.
• Must be able to type accurately and use medical abbreviations correctly.
• Must demonstrate basic computer skills in a Windows environment.

Responsibilities

• Procure and distribute medication orders per physician or pharmacist request.
• Maintain adequate stock of medications and supplies.
• Enhance quality of care and efficient operation of the department.
• Adhere to laws, Trinity Health policies, and standards of conduct.
