Job summary

MercyOne Clinton Medical Center in eastern Iowa is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists, prepare and distribute medications, and manage the drug inventory under supervision.

Requirements include National Pharmacy Technician Certification, Iowa state registration, 1–3 years of pharmacy experience, a high school diploma, and basic computer and typing skills. Full-time role with rotating weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• National Pharmacy Technician Certification required.
• Registration with the State of Iowa Board of Pharmacy required.
• 1–3 years of pharmacy experience preferred.
• Must be able to type accurately, have basic knowledge of medical terms and abbreviations.
• Basic computer skills in a Windows environment.

Responsibilities

• Procure and distribute medication orders per physician or pharmacist request according to policies.
• Maintain adequate stock of medications and supplies.
• Enhance quality of care and efficiency of the department.
• Adhere to Federal, State and local laws and Trinity Health policies and standards.
