Job summary

JobRx, Inc. is looking for a part-time Pharmacy Technician at MercyOne Clinton Medical Center in Iowa. The role involves procuring and distributing medication orders, maintaining stock, and enhancing the quality of care.

Candidates must have National Pharmacy Technician Certification and a high school diploma. Previous pharmacy experience is preferred, and candidates will work rotating shifts, 20 hours a week, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Procure and distribute medication orders per physician request, pharmacist request, or prearranged work assignment according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Maintain adequate stock of medications and supplies.
• Enhance the quality of care and the effective operation of the department.
• Maintain a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, Trinity Health's Organizational Integrity Program, Standards of Conduct, and other policies and procedures to ensure adherence with honest, ethical, and professional behavior.

Schedule

• 20 hours a week
• Rotating weekends
• Rotating holidays

General Requirements

• National Pharmacy Technician Certification required.
• Required to be registered with the State of Iowa Board of Pharmacy before commencing employment.
• One to three years of previous pharmacy experience (or combination of college and experience) is preferred.
• Must be able to type accurately and have basic knowledge of medical terms and abbreviations.
• Manual dexterity and eye‑hand coordination are useful in preparing or assisting with the preparation of orders.
• Must be able to demonstrate basic computer skills in a Windows environment.

Education

• High school diploma required.
