Job summary

MercyOne Clinton Medical Center is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for per diem coverage. You will assist pharmacists with preparing and distributing medications, maintain inventory, and support patient records under supervision. Prior pharmacy experience and accuracy are valued.

Role requires Iowa state registration, National Certification, HS diploma, and good computer skills. Rotating shifts with weekend coverage, per diem schedule, and competitive benefits through MercyOne.

Qualifications

• National Pharmacy Technician Certification required.
• Registered with State of Iowa Board of Pharmacy before commencing employment.
• One to three years of previous pharmacy experience preferred.
• Must be able to type accurately, have basic knowledge of medical terms and abbreviations.
• Manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination are useful in preparing orders.
• Must be able to demonstrate basic computer skills in a Windows environment.

Responsibilities

• Procure and distribute medication orders per physician or pharmacist request according to policies.
• Maintain adequate stock of medications and supplies.
• Enhance the quality of care and effective operation of the department.
• Adhere to Federal, State, local laws and MercyOne policies with ethical conduct.
