Job summary

Southwest General Health Center in Middleburg Heights, Ohio, seeks a Pharmacy Technician I (Inpatient) to support the daily operations of the hospital pharmacy under a registered pharmacist. You will help prepare, deliver, and retrieve patient medications used throughout the institution, ensuring accurate handling and timely service.

Additionally, you may assist in billing of pharmacy charges, help orient new personnel, and participate in health center committees as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Pharmacy Tech program (certificate or degree) required.
• Previous hospital experience preferred.
• Pharmacy Technician certification through PTCB required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, deliver, and retrieve patient medications across the institution under supervision of a registered pharmacist.
• Assist in billing of pharmacy charges to patients and in the control of outdated medications.
• Assist with orientation of new personnel and may participate in health center and department committees.
