Southwest General Health Center in Middleburg Heights, Ohio, seeks a Pharmacy Technician I (Inpatient) to support the daily operations of the hospital pharmacy under a registered pharmacist. You will help prepare, deliver, and retrieve patient medications used throughout the institution, ensuring accurate handling and timely service.

Additionally, you may assist in billing of pharmacy charges, help orient new personnel, and participate in health center committees as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Pharmacy Tech program (certificate or degree) required.
• Previous hospital experience preferred.
• Pharmacy Technician certification through PTCB required.

PHARMACY TECHNICIAN I (INPATIENT)

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Pharmacy Technician, under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, is responsible for the preparation, delivery, and retrieval of patient's medications used throughout the institution. He/she is responsible for the billing of certain pharmacy charges to the patient and the control of outdated medications. He/she assists in the orientation process of new personnel and may participate in health center and department committees.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Pharmacy Tech program (certificate or degree) required.
• Required length of experience: Previous hospital experience preferred.
• Required licensure, certification or registry: Pharmacy Technician certification through PTCB required.
