Job summary

UPMC Presbyterian Campus is seeking an Inpatient Pharmacy Technician to collaborate with pharmacists, nurses, and other health professionals to ensure safe medication handling in inpatient and OR settings.

Responsibilities include filling, preparation of IV/TPN meds, and distribution support while maintaining accurate controlled substance records and compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and CMS requirements. Sign-on bonus offered with 2-year commitment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician program.
• Six months of pharmacy technician experience or six months as Pharmacy Assistant in UPMC Health System.
• Enrollment in an undergraduate pharmacy program in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Assist in filling medication orders with correct labeling, counting, and stocking.
• Prepare proper oral and injectable medications, including IV admixtures and TPN, for the patient.
