Job summary

UPMC Senior Communities seeks a Pharmacy Technician, Trainee to provide pharmaceutical care within the UPMC Health System. You assist with organization, stocking, preparation, and distribution under supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

The full-time evening shift (2:30 PM–11:00 PM) includes every other weekend and at least two holidays per year, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates and a clear career ladder to support growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Registered as Pharmacy Trainee with the State Board of Pharmacy prior to starting employment.
• Must have a valid Driver's License.
• Act 34 clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Fill medication orders with proper labeling, counting, and stocking.
• Prepare oral medications for the correct patient and ensure proper timing.
• Distribute medications including cassettes, carts, and controlled substances following regulations.
• Maintain safe storage, accurate records, and professional communication with staff and patients.
