Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick, GA is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support inpatient pharmacy operations and ensure accurate unit dose filling, prepackaged meds, and billing charges. You will help maintain medication accuracy, assist with floor duties, and participate in IV rounds and narcotics processes.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, Georgia State Board of Pharmacy Technician registration, and an active license; certification from NPTCB or NHA is

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Georgia State Board of Pharmacy Technician registration license is required.
• Current certification from National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or National Healthcareer Association is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pulling medication from stock and ensuring the drug and amount match patient labels.
• Making rounds, delivering medications, restocking automated dispensing cabinets, and reconciling discrepancies of cabinet charges.
• Performing cart fill and stocking patients' matrix drawers.
• Performing IV rounds and crediting patient accounts appropriately.
• Answering the telephone, relaying messages, and ensuring legend drugs are checked by a licensed Pharmacist.
• Performing floor visits, updating medications in cabinets and monitoring inventory for outdates.
• Performing narcotic rounds including inventorying and delivering narcotics to cabinets and returns to the pharmacy.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Georgia State Board of Pharmacy Technician registration license

National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or National Healthcareer Association certification (preferred)
