Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Inpatient Pharmacy Technician in Grand Junction, Colorado, to support daily operations in a hospital setting. You will prepare prescriptions, coordinate medication access, and collaborate with pharmacists and technicians to optimize patient care.

Top candidates have inpatient experience, IV compounding skills, and familiarity with Omnicell. New grads are welcome to apply and will receive at least 8 weeks of onsite training.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent is required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
• Current knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes regarding pharmac y practice and controlled substances.
• Any lapse may result in disciplinary action, up to termination, at the hiring manager's discretion.

Responsibilities

• Assists the pharmacist in collecting clinical and other patient information and maintaining appropriate records.
• Utilizes pharmacy technology to prepare medication orders for dispensing and compounds medications as appropriate.
• Attains supervision and accuracy checks by the pharmacist and knows when to escalate tasks.
• Maintains medication supplies and monitors inventories, including controlled substances and 340B/Charging management.
• Communicates with caregivers and participates in quality and patient safety initiatives.
