Job summary

UC Health is hiring a full-time Certified Pharmacy Technician in Inpatient Pharmacy at University of Cincinnati Medical Center. The role supports pharmacists by preparing and distributing medications, managing inventory, and maintaining patient records.

The technician works under supervision and follows established policies, with a sign-on bonus of $2000. Required is current Ohio pharmacy technician registration and certification; three to five years of related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current pharmacy technician registration and certification recognized by the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy.
• Recently certified or with several years of experience as a pharmacy technician.

Responsibilities

• Procures and distributes medication orders per prescriber/pharmacist requests.
• Fills physician orders, medication kits, carts, and stock requisitions accurately.
• Replenishes medications in emergency containers and floor stock areas.
• Prepares IV admixtures and sterile preparations safely and accurately.
• Delivers medications and supplies to patient care areas per schedule.
• Maintains adequate stock and enters charges in the pharmacy system.
• Generates reports, labels, and completes required documentation.
• Answers calls and assists in patient interactions as needed.
• Keeps pharmacy areas clean, organized, and compliant with policies.
