UC Health is hiring a full-time Certified Pharmacy Technician in the Outpatient Pharmacy at University of Cincinnati Medical Center. We offer a $2000 sign-on bonus and a 40-hour work week with a first shift from 8:30am to 5:00pm.

Technicians assist pharmacists with medication preparation, inventory control, and maintaining patient records under supervision. The role requires accuracy, attention to detail, and strong communication in a dynamic health-system setting.

Qualifications

• Recently certified, licensed or graduated within past 12 months; three to five years equivalent experience required.
• Current pharmacy technician registration and certification recognized by the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy.
• Ability to perform work accurately with attention to detail and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Procures and distributes medication orders per prescriber request and policy.
• Fills orders, replenishes stock, prepares IV admixtures and sterile preparations, and delivers medications per schedule.
• Maintains adequate stock of medications and supplies according to policy.
• Enters medication orders into the pharmacy system and generates reports; answers calls and manages deliveries.
• Maintains logs and documentation; keeps pharmacy areas clean and organized.
• Performs monthly storage inspections and engages in quality improvement projects.
• Adheres to hospital and department standards of performance.
