UC Health is hiring a part-time Certified Pharmacy Technician in Inpatient Pharmacy at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in Cincinnati, OH.

The Tech I/II will assist pharmacists by preparing and distributing medications, maintaining drug inventory, and keeping patient records. They work under the supervision of a registered pharmacist and may advance with competency in specialized areas.

Qualifications

• Education: Recently certified, licensed or graduated within past 12 months; three to five years equivalent experience, minimum required.
• License and Certification: Current pharmacy technician registration and certification recognized by the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy.
• Years of Experience: Three - five years equivalent experience, minimum required.
• Required Skills and Knowledge: Attention to detail, effective communication, ability to work under supervision and adapt to changes.

Responsibilities

• Procures and distributes medication orders per prescriber request or pharmacist request according to policies.
• Fills physician orders and prepares medications; replenishes floor stock and emergency supplies.
• Maintains adequate stock and ensures accurate documentation and labeling.
• Performs allergy and interaction checks and supports in IV admixtures and sterile preparations.
