Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colorado is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support inpatient pharmacy operations. The role involves 40 hours weekly with rotating 8- and 10-hour shifts, every other weekend, and two holidays per year.

You will assist in IV compounding, Omnicell operations, and documentation to ensure safe, timely medication therapy for patients. Candidates should have inpatient pharmacy experience, a current pharmacy technician certification/license, and knowledge of

• High School or equivalent required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license for state of practice.
• Knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations and drug distribution.
• Lapse in certification may lead to disciplinary action at hiring manager's discretion.

Responsabilidades

• Assist pharmacist in collecting clinical and patient information and maintain records as required.
• Use pharmacy technology to prepare medication orders and compound as appropriate to practice site.
• Ensure supervision and accuracy checks by pharmacists and understand when verification is required.
• Fill and maintain medication supplies and monitor controlled substances for security and cost-effectiveness.
• Communicate with caregivers about responsibilities and participate in quality/patient safety initiatives.
