UF Health in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to support medication preparation, compounding, packaging and delivery across multiple areas. The role includes IV preparation, ADC refills verification, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Ideal candidates will have HS Diploma or GED, Florida licensure as a Pharmacy Intern or Technician, and 6 months of relevant experience; 1+ year is preferred. Training and education of peers may be part of the duties.
Inpatient pharmacy technicians are responsible for maintaining medication systems through preparation, compounding, packaging and delivery of medications. They may prepare IV medications and are tasked with maintaining an optimal environment for the preparation and storage of medications. They also assist the pharmacists in meeting all regulatory compliance requirements.
The Pharmacy Technician II will have broader responsibilities in the pharmacy and other specialty areas. They will have responsibility in multiple areas maintaining medication systems through preparation, compounding, packaging, delivery of medications, verifying correct medication is selected for the automated dispensing cabinet (ADC) refill functions, and assisting in the training and education of other technicians.
Pharmacy technician II will fulfill all responsibilities of Pharmacy Technician I.
Required Education:High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Education:High School Graduate with at least (1) year pharmacy technician experience
Required Licensure/Certifications:Registered Pharmacy Intern in Florida or Registered Pharmacy Technician in Florida
Preferred Licensure/Certifications:N/A

Preferred Experience:One or more years of pharmacy technician experience
