Job summary

The Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital is hiring a Pharmacy Technician - Inpatient, Evenings. This role supports inpatient operations on the Akron General campus, collaborating with pharmacists and techs to ensure timely medication services.

Responsibilities include filling inpatient orders, stocking automated cabinets, performing floor and stock checks, and assisting with EPIC and Pyxis workflows. Evening schedule with some weekend rotation is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) verified through PTCB.
• Registration with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy or eligibility to register within 6 months of hire.
• Proficient typing skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in filling inpatient orders and complete required documentation.
• Prepare, deliver, and collect pharmacy items throughout the medical center; restock automated dispensing cabinets.
• Perform floor and stock checks; manage inventory and unit reviews as required.
• Support Pharmacy Keeper activities and inspections.
• Monitor stock for outdated medications and assist with disposal.
• Process medication returns/refunds to patient accounts.
• Interact with EPIC and Pyxis workflows to handle medication orders.
