Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital is seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacist - Inpatient, Nights (7 on/7 off). This role supports inpatient pharmacy operations across service lines, including medication preparation, verification, and distribution for Akron General.

You will work 9:00pm-7:00am, rotate through operations, review charts, and provide bedside and team-based patient care. Eligible for sign-on bonus up to $15,000; requires PharmD or BS in Pharmacy and active RPh license.

Qualifications

• PharmD or BS in Pharmacy from an accredited college.
• Current State licensure as a Registered Pharmacist or eligible for reciprocity within 90 days.
• BLS certification for immunizations or completion within 90 days.
• ACLS or PALS certification within one year.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, patient-centered medication services across inpatient pharmacy.
• Verify orders and dispense medications according to state and federal regulations.
• Operate and troubleshoot automated medication systems (e.g., carousel).
• Deliver bedside clinical and operational support for high-acuity events.
• Educate students, residents, and staff; promote cost-effective care.
• Document services accurately and maintain compliance with standards.
