Job summary

Intermountain Health's St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado, seeks an Inpatient Pharmacy Technician to support daily operations, assist pharmacists, prepare prescriptions, and help coordinate medication access for hospitalized patients.

This role includes 8 weeks of onsite training, access to continuing education, and a comprehensive benefits package. Shifts include day and evening hours with weekend and holiday rotations.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing pharmacy practice.
• Lapse or failure to meet requirements may result in disciplinary action.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in collecting clinical and other patient information and maintaining records.
• Prepare medication orders for dispensing and perform calculations.
• Compound medications as appropriate to practice site.
• Verify and monitor controlled substance inventories as required.
• Communicate with caregivers and participate in quality and patient safety initiatives.
