Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Health System's Main Campus in Cleveland, OH is hiring a Pharmacy Technician for the Central Inpatient unit. The role involves supporting high-volume inpatient pharmacy operations across multiple service lines, with travel across the Main Campus.

Training and opportunities exist to transfer into specialized areas upon competency. Caregivers work rotating day and evening shifts (e.g., 6:45am–3:15pm and 2:00pm–10:30pm), including every third weekend.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six months of related experience.
• Must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or equivalent at hire.
• Must hold active OBOP registration as CPT/Registered/Technician Trainee.
• If trainee/registered, upgrade to CPhT within 6 months.
• Preferred: six months of hospital experience or formal training program in pharmacy tech.

Responsibilities

• Prepare medications by selecting, labeling, repacking, non-sterile and sterile compounding.
• Deliver medications to storages locations accurately and timely.
• Maintain inventories and complete cycle counts and unit inspections.
• Maintain safe, clean work area and comply with regulations and temperature logs.
• Use information systems, technology and automation to complete tasks.
• Assist with training of pharmacy caregivers and students.
