Job summary

Florida Health Care Plan, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Manager for the Pharmacy Division. This full-time, 1st shift position runs Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, and leads the prescription department to ensure compliance with Board of Pharmacy and state/federal laws.

The role supervises staff, manages inventory, and collaborates with health care providers to deliver high-quality patient care. A PharmD or BS in Pharmacy and Florida licensure are required.

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited institution.
• Current Florida pharmacist license.
• Immunization certification or ability to obtain within 180 days of hire.
• Current consultant pharmacist licensure in Florida or ability to obtain within 180 days of hire.
• Minimum of 3 years of retail pharmacy experience.
• Experience with prescription dispensing and knowledge of state and federal laws.
• Experience with EnterpriseRx POS system preferred.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Excel proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill prescription department manager requirements, upholding Board of Pharmacy, state, and federal law; supervise pharmacy personnel (technicians, interns, pharmacists).
• Model and deliver customer service best practices; monitor service and develop improvement plans.
• Develop relationships with patients and healthcare providers to enhance health outcomes.
• Perform Staff Pharmacist duties; ensure compliance with regulations and company policies; manage inventory and controlled substances.
• Lead and participate in quarterly Pharmacy Services Committee meetings; partner with Pharmacy Administration on programs and goals.
