University Hospitals is seeking a Pharmacy Technician 2 to support pharmacists in retrieving, preparing, and distributing medications for patient care. The role covers inpatient, outpatient, and medication history functions under pharmacist supervision.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED, completion of an accredited technician program, and strong math, accuracy, and communication skills to ensure timely, safe medication delivery across nursing units.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required; pharmacy tech program preferred.
• Prior hospital or retail hospital-affiliated experience desirable.
• Certification as Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred or required by state.

Aufgaben

• Assist pharmacists with retrieval, preparation, and distribution of medications under supervision.
• Process prescriptions, including insurance adjudication and prior authorizations.
• restock and maintain ADCs and pharmacy tech systems; ensure accurate counts.
• Orient and train new staff; uphold PHI, hygiene, and SOPs.
