Job summary

Boston Children’s Hospital seeks a Clinical Pharmacist II, Oncology to provide specialized pharmaceutical care for oncology patients. You will interpret and dispense orders, collaborate with prescribers, educate patients, and supervise pharmacy support staff to maintain highest standards of care.

Requires a PharmD (or BS in Pharmacy) and MA licensure, 3–4 years hospital oncology experience preferred. Sign-on bonus $10,000; schedule M-F days with weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in pharmacy; Doctorate preferred.
• 3–4 years pharmacist experience; hospital oncology experience preferred.
• Massachusetts license/registration required.
• Strong communication and analytical abilities to solve problems and communicate with the care team.

Responsibilities

• Interpreting and evaluating medication orders to ensure appropriate drug therapy and safety.
• Reviewing, filling and dispensing physician orders; verifying accuracy with support staff.
• Providing drug information and patient education to patients and caregivers.
• Supervising pharmacy support personnel and ensuring compliance with procedures and schedules.
• Contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
