Job summary

UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh is seeking pharmacy students for an inpatient internship to gain hands-on experience in automation, dispensing, IV room, and narcotics processes. You will shadow a Unit Base Pharmacist in P-3 year and contribute to project work during the summer.

Qualified candidates are in good standing at an accredited School of Pharmacy, entering P1 year or above, and applying for intern licensure within 90 days of hire.

• Entering P1 year or above and applying for intern license within 90 days of hire
• Strong communication and computer skills

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist with medication distribution and workflow
• Participate in IV admixtures, chemotherapy, and controlled substances processes
• Complete departmental documentation and billing per shift
• Utilize information systems and robotics to prepare medication labels
• Shadow a Unit Base Pharmacist and learn inpatient operations
