Responsibilities

• Assists the pharmacist with medication distribution, delivering medication and refilling cabinets.
• Performs filling of medication orders while maintaining patient profiles and prepackaging.
• Prepare IV admixtures/chemotherapy and controlled substance orders as required.
• Assists with medication review including order entry, allergies, formulary decisions and drug interactions.
• Completes department documentation and billing at end of each shift per procedures.
• Uses information systems and robotics to prepare medication labels and assist dispensing.
• Maintains a clean, organized, stocked work environment and professional image.
• Develops drug information responses and conducts medication use evaluations.
