Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Nampa Medical Center is seeking an Inpatient Pharmacist PRN for a part-time, rotating shift. You will provide pharmaceutical care, review patient histories, educate patients, and ensure accurate documentation of services.

Requirements include a PharmD or BS in Pharmacy, Idaho licensure, and hospital inpatient experience is preferred. Residency preferred; you will supervise technicians and support QA activities.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required.
• Residency preferred.
• Must be licensed as a Pharmacist with the Idaho State Board of Pharmacy.
• Six months of hospital inpatient experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides pharmaceutical care to inpatients and ensures accurate documentation of services and supplies.
• Reviews patient history and educates patients to optimize outcomes.
• Prepares pharmaceutical products using safe, cost-effective methods and supports QA and risk management.
• Supervises technicians and pharmacy staff; participates in departmental duties and ensures effective communication.

SUMMARY:

Provides pharmaceutical care to customers of Saint Alphonsus Nampa Medical Center. The Nampa Pharmacy Team provides a supportive, mentoring environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required. Residency preferred. Must be licensed as a Pharmacist with the Idaho State Board of Pharmacy.

Six months of hospital, inpatient experience preferred.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Organization's Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions. Demonstrates knowledge and skills to competently care for all assigned age groups. Ensures the accuracy of documenting services and supplies provided to the patients.

Reviews patient history incorporating various pharmacy activities providing customers with adequate education for optimum outcomes. Prepares pharmaceutical products for patients’ use by safe and cost-effective methods using acceptable professional standards. Comprehends and supports quality assurance and risk management issues.

Participates in various departmental duties; material resource management, clerical and financial responsibilities, safety, and other issues. Supervises technicians and pharmacy support staff. Excellent communication skills. Adaptable to institutional roles and schedules.
