Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Nampa Medical Center in Boise, ID is seeking a PRN Pharmacist to provide pharmaceutical care to customers and support the pharmacy team in a hospital setting.

The role requires a Doctor of Pharmacy or BS in Pharmacy, Idaho licensure, and residency preferred. Six months hospital/inpatient experience is preferred. Strong communication and clinical skills are essential to ensure safe, cost-effective medication use.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required.
• Residency preferred.
• Must be licensed as a Pharmacist with the Idaho State Board of Pharmacy.
• Six months of hospital, inpatient experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Organization's Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
• Demonstrates knowledge and skills to competently care for all assigned age groups.
• Ensures the accuracy of documenting services and supplies provided to the patients.
• Reviews patient history incorporating various pharmacy activities providing customers with adequate education for optimum outcomes.
• Prepares pharmaceutical products for patients’ use by safe and cost-effective methods using acceptable professional standards.
• Comprehends and supports quality assurance and risk management issues.
• Participates in various departmental duties; material resource management, clerical and financial responsibilities, safety, and other issues.
• Supervises technicians and pharmacy support staff.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Adaptable to institutional roles and schedules.
