Saint Alphonsus Nampa Medical Center is seeking an inpatient pharmacist for part-time PRN coverage. The role provides pharmaceutical care to patients with a focus on safety, cost-effective preparation, and education.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required.
  • Residency preferred.
  • Must be licensed as a Pharmacist with the Idaho State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Six months of hospital, inpatient experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide pharmaceutical care to inpatients and outpatients.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of services and supplies for patients.
  • Educate patients to optimize therapy outcomes.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and adaptability to institutional roles.

Employment Type: Part time Shift: Rotating Shift Description: INPATIENT PHARMACIST PRN NAMPA MEDICAL CENTER ABOUT NAMPA: Nampa Idaho, located 20 miles from Boise, in the Treasure Valley, is a family-friendly city that provides a high quality of life. SUMMARY

Provides pharmaceutical care to customers of Saint Alphonsus Nampa Medical Center. The Nampa Pharmacy Team provides a supportive, mentoring environment.

REQUIREMENTS

Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required. Residency preferred. Must be licensed as a Pharmacist with the Idaho State Board of Pharmacy. Six months of hospital, inpatient experience preferred.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Organization's Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions. Demonstrates knowledge and skills to competently care for all assigned age groups. Ensures the accuracy of documenting services and supplies provided to the patients. Reviews patient history incorporating various pharmacy activities providing customers with adequate education for optimum outcomes. Prepares pharmaceutical products for patients’ use by safe and cost-effective methods using acceptable professional standards. Comprehends and supports quality assurance and risk management issues. Participates in various departmental duties; material resource management, clerical and financial responsibilities, safety, and other issues. Supervises technicians and pharmacy support staff. Excellent communication skills. Adaptable to institutional roles and schedules.
