Job summary

MDPerm seeks an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist to support Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) in San Antonio, TX. The role focuses on inpatient medication therapy, safety, and interdisciplinary collaboration within a high-demand military hospital environment.

Responsibilities include verifying orders, preparing IV meds, and ensuring compliance with federal regulations. Active U.S. citizenship and credentialing requirements apply, with a full-time on-site schedule and rotating shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from ACPE-accredited program.
• Current, full, unrestricted Pharmacist license in any U.S. state.
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient pharmacy experience within the past 2 years.
• BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify inpatient medication orders for dosing, route, and interactions.
• Dispense medications per standards and regulations.
• Prepare and verify IV meds and parenteral nutrition.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to optimize therapy.
• Distribute, label, and dispense medications including controlled substances.
• Maintain QA, security for controlled substances, and hazardous meds handling.
