Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in pharmacy required.
Active, full, unrestricted pharmacist license required.
Minimum 1 year inpatient pharmacy experience within past 2 years.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize drug therapy.
Determine substance type, strength, dosage, and quantity per SOPs.
Receive and review prescriptions including controlled substances.
Perform advanced pharmaceutical calculations for IV admixtures and complex nutrition.
Prepare labels, verify medications, and ensure accuracy against prescriptions.
Review inpatient medication orders for dosage, route, frequency, interactions, and allergies.
Distribute medications, label, compound, and dispense as needed.
Follow QA procedures, manage controlled substances, and hazardous waste disposal.
Mentor and train pharmacy staff and technicians as needed.
Be prepared to respond to Code Blues when assigned a shift.
