Job summary

MemorialCare is seeking a Pharmacist PD to join the Inpatient Pharmacy team in Long Beach, CA. This per diem role supports day shifts and delivers patient-centered pharmaceutical care, education, and medication distribution in a busy hospital setting.

The Pharmacist will review orders, communicate with physicians and care teams, provide drug information, supervise technicians, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. California licensure and Pharm.D. are required; BCLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of pharmacy experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with independent judgment.
• Proficiency with common pharmacy computer systems; 30 WPM typing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review medication orders for appropriateness and clarify as needed.
• Communicate clearly with physicians, nurses, and patients to ensure safe therapy.
• Provide drug information to staff and patients.
• Document medications, adverse events, and interventions in EMR.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and collaborate with health care team.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
