Job summary

MemorialCare is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist in Laguna Hills, CA, within the Pharmacy Department. The role requires leading pharmacy operations in the medication use process, providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care, and serving as a clinical resource for drug information and recommendations.

A California pharmacist license and a PharmD are required. Eligible candidates will have inpatient hospital experience, knowledge of pharmacokinetics, and the ability to educate staff and students.

Qualifications

• Inpatient hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Pharmacokinetic principles knowledge preferred
• Experience with pharmacotherapy management and drug information for providers/patients

Responsibilities

• Oversee pharmacy operations in the medication use process
• Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care
• Serve as a resource for drug information and therapeutic recommendations
• Manage regulated therapies per departmental guidelines
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and ancillary staff
• Document medication errors and interventions
• Ensure compliance with laws and regulations

Education

Pharmacy degree (PharmD) from an accredited school

California Pharmacist License

BLS Certification

ACLS Certification

ASHP PGY-1 residency (preferred)

Board Certification (BCPS, BCOP, etc) preferred
